Although daily updates have been discontinued, the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health continues to report statistics of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and that includes one more death reported on Monday. The age of the victim, the 148th reported in Sheboygan County, was not given. The age breakdown of the previous 147 casualties included one person between 10 and 19 years of age, three were in their 30s, five in their 40s, five in their 50s, twenty-three in their 60s, thirty-three in their 70s, and seventy-seven were at least 80 years old.
The number of active cases reported Monday was 32, the lowest in nearly a year – since 30 were active on July 2nd last year – and there were no hospitalizations to report. 13,877 cases in all have occurred in Sheboygan County, with no new ones since Friday. And although activity levels are declining, there are still 6 facility-wide investigations underway in Sheboygan County according to Wisconsin Department of Health Services Statistics.
That agency also reports that vaccination rates in Sheboygan County have somewhat plateaued. An average of 1,861 doses per week were administered during the last 4 weeks of record, with 1,582 given last week. As of Monday, 55,348 Sheboygan County residents had received at least one shot – that’s 48% of the population – while 44.2%, or 51,024 persons, were fully vaccinated.
