SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – A Sheboygan County resident in their 60s became the 109th to succumb to COVID-19 according to Tuesday’s report from the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health. Of the total number of deceased, one was between 10 and 19 years of age, two were in their 30s, four were in their 40s, five were in their 50s, twenty were in their 60s, twenty-five in their 70s, and fifty-two were 80 or older.
104 tests for COVID-19 were logged, and 19 of them, or 18%, were positive. So far, 12,192 county residents have fought COVID-19. 34 more persons recovered, lowering the active case count by 16 to 699, the lowest since 890 were reported on October 20th of last year. 11 persons, one less than Monday, are hospitalized.
Wisconsin added another 1,525 confirmed cases of COVID-19 to its total, which now stands at 524,402. The positive test return rate was 30%. The 42 deaths reported raise the state toll to 5,512. 114 more persons were hospitalized, and after deaths and discharges, the state’s COVID-19 patient population fell 10 to 865, 203 of those in ICU beds. Another 69 patients are awaiting their test returns, and 459 ventilators are in use.
