Robert J. Gorr, age 79, of Sheboygan, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Rocky
Knoll Health Care Center.
He was born on May 17, 1941 in Sheboygan WI, son of the late Otto Gorr and Margaret
(Miketich) Gorr
He attended Sheboygan area schools and was united in marriage in 1975 to Bonnie L. Mott
He worked at Mayline Company in Sheboygan, WI most on his adult life until his retirement in
2003.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren, they were his pride and joy and never missed an
opportunity to spend time with them, he loved frying out no matter what the weather outside was
and he took great pride in feeding the wild birds.
He is survived by his daughter: Rebecca J. Schmidt of Kiel; His grandson: Austin A. Schmidt of
Kiel; Granddaughter: Brittany A. Schmidt of Sheboygan; Great-grandson: Connor J. Schmidt;
Step-children: Deborah L. Barbeau, Roxanne L. Jakubowski, and Anthony J. Barbeau.
He is also survived by sisters: Barbara (Orvill) Sizemore of Fond du Lac, Dorothy Oehldrich of
Sheboygan; Brother: Bill (Audrey) Gorr of Texas; Sister-in law: Elaine Gorr of Sheboygan; as
well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Selko and Margaret Buboltz, and brother Otto
‘Charlie’ Gorr.
Following Robert’s wishes cremation has taken place and no service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Robert’s name.
The family would like to thank the staff at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center for their care and
compassion for Robert over the years.
