(WHBL) – Seven persons were charged in federal court with offenses related to a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, cocaine, and other controlled substances in the Sheboygan Area. Matthew Krueger, the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, announced the indictment from a federal grand jury on Thursday.
25-year-old Irwin and 23-year-old Omar Sosa, 24-year-old Isaiah Beasley, 43-year-old Nicholaus Hoem and 30-year-old Nicholas R. McAtee -all from Sheboygan – were charged, along with 43-year-old Ethan T. Massey of Waupun and 46-year-old Michael D. Waite from Appleton.
The indictment alleges that between June of 2018 and December of last year, the men conspired to distribute at least 500 grams of meth, cocaine, and marijuana. Also, Omar Sosa and Beasley were charged with discharging a firearm in relation to a drug trafficking crime.
If convicted of the charges, the defendants face a mandatory minimum imprisonment of 10 years and up to life; $10 million fine, minimum five years supervised release up to life and a $100 special assessment.
