Dale Lensmire, 84, of Plymouth, WI, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026.
He was born on October 31, 1941 in the Town of Mitchell, WI, a son of the late Matthew and Pauline (Wolf) Lensmire.
Dale attended Parnell Grade School and Plymouth High School. On November 17, 1962, he married Rosemary “Rosie” Dreifuerst at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth.
Dale worked at Kohler Company for 37 years, retiring in 2004. He was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Sheboygan Falls, where he served as an usher for many years.
Dale was the drummer in the Lensmire Band. He enjoyed fixing and riding tractors, fishing, snowmobiling, playing pool and darts. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Rosie; two daughters, Lora (Glenn) Freeborn and Leah (Roger) Herried; six grandchildren, John Freeborn, Autumn (Quintin) Kuhl, Noah, Emily, Isaiah, and Jack Herried; three great-grandchildren, Madelynn, Oliver, and Teddy; sister, Judy Slattery, brother, Tim Lensmire; and sister-in-law, Mary Dreifuerst; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Matt (Charlene) and Gary Lensmire; sister, June (Don) Galloway; sister-in-law, Judy Lensmire; and brothers-in-law, Jack Slattery and Gordon Dreifuerst.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Sheboygan Falls from 10:00am-12:00pm; with Mass to follow at 12:00pm. Father Michael Lawinger will officiate. Inurnment will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery in the Town of Mitchell.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in memory of Dale.
