Victor A. Rusch, 84, of Sheboygan, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Sharon Richardson Hospice following a courageous battle with esophageal cancer.
Victor was born in Sheboygan on October 11, 1941 to Arthur and Irma Rusch. He attended Sheboygan Immanual Lutheran School and Sheboygan Central High School. Victor was united in marriage to Karen F. Weber on November 3, 1962.
Victor grew up in Sheboygan. In his youth, he worked on many local farms and Jung Shoe Company. He worked for 38 years in utility construction and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 139. After retirement he enjoyed helping at Woodland Trees Farm. He loved spending time with his family and was always there for everyone.
Victor was very talented at making crafts and wood carving. He was a member of the Kettle Karvers. He and Karen loved going camping and fishing. Their most memorable trips were visiting family in Germany, touring many US national parks with their camper, and tenting in Alaska. Victor enjoyed the outdoors and was an enthusiastic hunter.
Victor is survived by his sons, Cory (Fay) Rusch of Necedah and Craig (Julie) Rusch of Sheboygan Falls; his grandchildren, Cassy (Nathan) Fries, Cody (Aubree) Rusch, Brandon Bernabo (Emma Steele), Rebecca Bernabo, and Karisa Rusch (Joe Ullmer); his great grandchildren, Noah and Wes Fries, and Elle and Elijah Rusch; his brother-in-law Dan (Karen) Weber; his brother-in-law Mario Rico; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Victor was preceded in death by his wife Karen Rusch; parents Arthur and Irma Rusch; his parents-in-law Louis and Malinda Weber; his brothers and sisters Willis (Harriet) Rusch, Arthur Jr. Rusch, Mildred (Fred) Fischer, Rosemary (Robert) Reinke, Ruth Rico; his brother-in-law Louis Jr. (Kathy) Weber; and his daughter-in-law Kathleen Rusch.
Victor was a man of strong faith and was accepting of the plans God had for him.

A visitation will take place on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 10 am to 1 pm, at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan. The memorial service will begin at 2 pm at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6706 Superior Ave., Sheboygan.
