With Christmas now behind us, many may be tempted to get a clean start on the new year by taking down the Christmas Tree this weekend, but here’s a good excuse for those not looking forward to the task…it’s officially too early in Sheboygan.
The City of Sheboygan will conduct its annual curbside collection of discarded Christmas Trees on Monday, January 5, continuing through the end of the month.
Trees will be picked up on the regular garbage and recycling schedule, and there won’t be any alley pickups, only curbside. You’re requested to remove everything but the needles and not to place the tree in a plastic bag. Wreathes can be placed with the tree, and both will be chipped at the DPW headquarters on New Jersey Avenue, and that will then be made available for free to City residents for spring gardening.
