Three persons are in jail, accused of conspiring to traffic cocaine in Manitowoc County. The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office identified the three as Arturo Vara, Juan Villarreal, and Herbart Harrison of San Antonio, Texas.
A months-long investigation revealed that the three were transporting cocaine from Texas to Manitowoc County for distribution. Investigators eventually coordinated the shipment of eight kilos of the drug and, on October 1st, intercepted the group when they arrived with the shipment. Nearly 20 pounds of cocaine were eventually seized along with a stolen firearm and methamphetamine. Cash bonds ranging from 500-750 thousand dollars were imposed as they await their trials.
