One of Sheboygan’s outstanding Summer events takes place this weekend. The John Michael Kohler Arts Center’s Midsummer Festival of the Arts takes place on Saturday and Sunday on the Arts Center grounds and City Green.
The 55th annual festival boasts over 100 juried artists whose works you can buy, covering media such as ceramics, painting, photography, metal, fiber, watercolor, wood, jewelry and more.
Besides the juried entries, the festival has also invited four emerging artists to participate, and for the first time is welcoming two organizations serving artists with disabilities: RCS Empowers, Inc of Sheboygan, and Project Onward from Chicago.
There’s plenty of live music, food trucks and drinks available on the grounds and City Green with art-making activities, too. And although the weather forecast may include on-and-off rain chances on Saturday, Sunday looks like the perfect day to enjoy some of the best Sheboygan has to offer.
