UNDATED (WHBL) – Sargento Foods is donating $2 million worth of cheese – that’s 15.8 million cheese sticks – to Feeding America, the largest hunger relief organization in the US. That’s enough for 1.3 million households across the country.
Louie Gentine is the 3rd generation CEO of Sargento Foods, who said: “We want to do our part to address the growing issue of hunger and food insecurity during these challenging times.”
The Executive Director of Hunger Task Force, Sherrie Tussler, called the donation: “…yet another demonstration of the amazing support and continuing dedication to help the more than 50,000 people we serve every month,” and she credited Sargento for over 25 years of leadership in anti-hunger work.
Sargento has also added a new section on its website that offers additional resources and recipes to help those staying safe and cooking with loved ones at home.
