SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – The Sheboygan County Department of Public Health says that no additional cases of COVID-19 virus have appeared in the county as of noon Sunday. Three cases of the coronavirus were reported on Friday, and all cases involved international travel. So far no person-to-person transmission has been detected within the county and local staff is working closely with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and the CDC to ensure appropriate measures are in place.
Although the virus has now been confirmed, officials note that the chance of contracting the illness in Sheboygan County remains low, and persons should continue recommended practices including hand washing, sanitizing and social distancing to help prevent its spread.
