Winter is often reluctant to leave, especially when spring seemed to displace it during March, and much of Wisconsin will be reminded of that today as a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued in Sheboygan and Washington Counties between 4 and 10 p.m. That’s for an expected 2-4 inches of wet, heavy snow, heaviest in western parts of Sheboygan County. That will largely melt on roads, but could build up enough to down tree branches and some power lines. Those are expected to be more an issue in Fond du Lac, Calumet and Manitowoc Counties where 4-8 inches of snow will pose much greater risks of slippery roads, low visibility and power outages. Because of that a Winter Storm Warning will be in effect there between 1 and 10 p.m. today.
The remainder of tonight through Wednesday night should see only light snow and windy conditions, but the National Weather Service advises that it could be enough of a road hazard to extend warnings later today.
