Kathleen Louise Reetz, 79, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away at her home on Friday, December 1, 2023. Kathy L. Kurtz was born on August 17, 1944 in Madison, Wisconsin to the late Walter and Henrietta (Hinze) Kurtz. She attended DC Everest High School in Wausau and continued her education, later graduating from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in June 1965. Kathy was a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse working in many different settings throughout the years, including at RCS. On November 25, 1967, she married her best friend, Larry W. Reetz in Wausau. Larry preceded her in death on May 15, 2017. Kathy was a longtime member of Hope Church in Sheboygan where she was involved in various ministries throughout the years. She loved crocheting, any and all types of crafting, traveling, but above all, Kathy cherished spending time with her family. Kathy was survived by a son, Randal (Tina) Reetz of Sheboygan Falls; daughter, Ronda (Roy) Oppenheimer of Sheboygan Falls; three grandchildren, Ashley Reetz, Luke and Emily Oppenheimer; sister, Karolyn (Jim) Schroeder, Cynthia (Michael) Woloshuk, Theresa Tesch (Mark Krueger); brothers, Harvey (Yvonne Larme) Kurtz and Gary (Kathy) Kurtz; and a brother-in-law, Warren Jr. (Carol) Reetz. Kathy is survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She is also survived by special friends: Lynn, Dina, Don, Kip, Diane and Craig. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, beloved granddaughter, Alyssa Mason, brother, Randolph Kurtz, sisters-in-law, Arvada Geier, Elaine “Peachie” (Bill) Seidler, and brother-in-law, Rollie Tesch, parents, and parents-in-laws, Warren “Mike Sr.” and Bernice (Hopp) Reetz. The family would like to give thanks to all her caregivers: Judy, Gina, Kay, Diana and Bev. A memorial service to celebrate her life will take place at Hope Church, 612 Ontario Avenue, in Sheboygan at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 8, 2023, with Rev. Bill TeWinkle officiating. Visitation will take place from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Inurnment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in the Town of Sheboygan.
