After more than three years of construction, the project to rebuild Sheboygan’s south pier and breakwater will be officially declared “complete” on Monday. The ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the event will take place at 1 p.m. on Monday, with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Chief of Operations William Mazzeno, 6th District Representative Glenn Grothman and Sheboygan Mayor Ryan Sorenson participating.
Rebuilding of the structure began in the spring of 2020 and was divided into two phases due to the cost, which combined, came out to $11,987,970.
