John “Farmer” Van de Pas, age 54, of Plymouth.
At the break of dawn on January 19, 2018, John “Farmer”
Van de Pas passed away peacefully with his family by his side.
John was born August 29, 1963 in Sheboygan, WI, a son
of the late Cornelius and Martha (Luikx) Van de Pas.
He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1981 as class
president.
On October 6
th
, he was united in marriage to
the love of his life Michele Ninnemann.
The couple resided in Plymouth, Wisconsin. They vacationed at the family
cabin near Armstrong Creek.
He was employed at Plymouth Oil, Rockline, and the
Glass Doctor. Besides farming on the family farm, John was an independent
contractor in the Plymouth area for many years where he enjoyed working side by
side with his many friends in the trades.
John enjoyed playing softball under the lights at Quit
Qui Oc and later coaching softball for his son Ben’s teams. A father & son
team played Fantasy Football in multiple leagues. John loved sports but preferred
college sports vs. professional. Mini
bowling was also a favorite pastime. John enjoyed everything that brought him
closer to the land including farming and hunting. He loved spending time up North
with friends at the cabin around the bonfire. Adventures were going to auctions and finding out
of the way thrift stores with Michele.
He kept his many friends close and enjoyed socializing.
John was the guy that knew everyone, and everyone knew he had the ability to
talk to anyone on any subject.
John was honored, humbled, and eternally grateful to be
selected as a 2017 recipient of the Plymouth Gift of Life. He was grateful to
all supporters of the two “Farmer” softball teams
John is survived by: his wife Michele and son Benjamin
of Plymouth; Siblings: Hubert (Sara) Van de Pas of Kiel, WI, Jules (Maggie) Van
de Pas of Highlands Ranch, CO, and LuAnne (Stuart) Abercrombie of Santa Barbara,
CA; Sister-in-law: Brigette (Mark) Sessler of Sheboygan, WI; Brother-in-law: Joel
(Debbi) Ninnemann of Plymouth; Mother in-law: Gloria Ninnemann of Plymouth; and
Cousin: Peter Luikx of Sheboygan
John was the favored uncle to: Marike Van de Pas of Plymouth
and Lucienne (Mike) Fels of Sturgeon Bay, Grace and Thomas Van de Pas of
Denver, CO, Juliana Ozur of Santa Barbara, CA Sydney (Tyson) Ninnemann and
their children Nataliya and Tori of Sheboygan, Andrew Sessler of Sheboygan, Nathan,
Kinsey, and Cady Ninnemann Of Plymouth.
John is survived by countless relatives in the
Netherlands.
John is also survived by his favorite dog 3-19.
John is preceded by his parents Cornelius and Martha
Van de Pas and Father in law Jim Ninnemann.
Following John’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A
life celebration and memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 27
th
at 2:00 P.M. at Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Darren E. Beachy, Chaplain for
the Aurora Sheboygan Medical Center, will officiate.
Visitation will take place at the Suchon Funeral Home
from 11:00 A. M. until the time of service at 2:00 P.M. A gathering of friends
and family will follow the services until 5:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been
established in John’s name.
The family wishes to thank the entire staffs of the
Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic and Aurora Medical Center, especially the pharmacy
department.
