An 11-year-old Sheboygan boy was taken to the hospital and his assailant arrested after an incident late Sunday morning.
Sheboygan Police report that the boy was walking home near 10th and Superior Avenue shortly before 11 a.m. when an unknown man took a bag the boy was carrying back to his home after shopping. The boy told police that when he attempted to retrieve the bag back the man punched him in the stomach and took off with the items, while the boy went to his nearby home and told his mother who briefly gave chase.
Police located the subject shortly afterwards and took him to the Sheboygan County Detention Center on charges of strong armed robbery and physical abuse of a child. The victim was taken to Aurora Sheboygan County complaining of rib and stomach pain, while the suspect, who’d been contacted several times recently by the SPD, remains in custody.
