Lorraine E. Heller, age 89, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully at Songbird Pond, surrounded by her
loving family on September 23, 2022.
She was born in the Town of Plymouth on May 30, 1933, a daughter of the late Raymond and Dorothy
(Rohde) Weber, and attended Plymouth area grade schools.
On June 17, 1950, she married Frederick J. “Fritz” Kober in Dundee and together they had 4 children.
Fritz preceded her in death on November 26, 1955. On August 3, 1957, she married Joseph W. Heller at
St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth and together they had 3 children. Joseph preceded her in death
on April 12, 2000.
In her early years, Lorraine raised her family as a dedicated mother and homemaker. She later worked
at Valley View Medical Center for over 25 years. After retiring, she volunteered many years at Valley
View Nursing Home, Plymouth Senior Center, and the Sheboygan County Fair.
Lorraine was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth and was also a member of Sheboygan
County Quilters, Plymouth Quilt Guild, and was a longtime leader for 4H and Cub Scouts.
She had a great love for quilting and also enjoyed ceramics, cake decorating, camping, travelling
(especially to Branson and to the National Quilt Show in Kentucky), and spending time with her family.
Survivors include: Six Children: Margie (Gerald) Bruckner of Plymouth, Mary Kober of Sheboygan Falls,
Michael Kober of Plymouth, Fred (Cathy) Kober of Greenville, WI, Richard (Linda) Heller of Plymouth,
and Kay (Kenneth S.) Behr of Plymouth; 17 Grandchildren: Scott (Katie) Bruckner, Brett (Maine)
Bruckner, Cory (Katherine) Bruckner, Genia Irwin (John Unger), Dustin (Julie) Irwin, Carmen (Eric) Glime,
Tyler (Amy) Kober, Bryan (Penny) Kober, Abigail (Warren) Van Rooy, Amanda Kober, Allison (Troy)
Sherman, Shawn (Shawna) Heller, Travis (Nicole) Heller, Adam (Heather) Heller, Amanda (Dejan) Koch,
Lora Behr, and Kenneth (Ashley) Behr.
She is further survived by: 27 Great-grandchildren: Connor, Trevor, Brennen, Maya, Bailey, Kiefer and
Bryce Bruckner (Margie’s grandchildren), Jack and Lani Irwin (Mary’s grandchildren), Adeline, Oliver and
Gillian Glime and Lola and Liam Kober (Michael’s grandchildren), Brianna and Ethan Kober, Jackson and
Madison Van Rooy, and Logan Kober (Fred’s grandchildren), Lorelei, Sebastian, Adeline, Gaige, Collin
and Emeliah Heller (Richard’s grandchildren), Zander Stolper-Behr and Everly Behr (Kay’s grandchildren);
Brother: Eugene (Kathleen) Weber of Plymouth; as well as other relatives and friends.
Lorraine was preceded in death by: Her parents; Husbands: Fritz and Joseph; Son: Randall;
Granddaughter: Erin; and Great-granddaughter: Emerson.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday (September 29, 2022) at the Suchon Funeral Home in
Plymouth. Visitation will take place from 11:00am – 1:00pm, with a prayer service to follow at 1:00pm.
Burial will be in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.
