Gary J. Stahl, age 69, of Sheboygan, died on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. He was born in Manitowoc on March 21, 1953, the son of the late Herbert and Veronica Schneider Stahl.
Gary attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1971. He then enlisted in the U.S. Marines and served his country from 1971 to 1973. On June 21, 1975, he was united in marriage to Carol Wuestenhagen at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Sheboygan.
He was employed at Kohler Company for 42 years, retiring in 2017. Gary was a current member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and the Kohler Quarter Century Club. He enjoyed hunting, shooting, and watching the Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Stahl, of Sheboygan; two children, Shannon Stahl, of Sheboygan, and Matthew (Rachel) Stahl, of Kenosha; grandchild, Addysen; four sisters, Joyce (Edward) Schleis, of Manitowoc, Barbara (Joel) Graf, of Kiel, Sandra (Jim) Fitzgerald, of Newton, and Gladys Posewitz, of Sheboygan; and his two brothers, LeRoy (Jean) Stahl, of Manitowoc, and Joseph (Donna) Stahl, of Sheboygan. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Roger and Audrey Wuestenhagen, a sister, Audrey Stahl, and a brother-in-law, Donald Posewitz.
In accordance with Gary’s wishes a private service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park in the Town of Sheboygan.
A heartfelt thank you is extended to the Town of Sheboygan First Responders, Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, Orange Cross Ambulance, and the staff at St. Nicholas Hospital and St. Vincent Hospital for their care and compassion that was given to Gary.
