James A. Langemak, age 90 of Plymouth, passed away on August 2, 2022. James was born to the late Arthur Langemak and Gertrude (Crosby) Langemak on August 11, 1931. Following high school James proudly served his country in the United States Army as a lineman in the Korean War and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
James was united in marriage to Barbara Ader on August 16, 1958. He received an accounting degree from Marquette University in 1959. He worked as a CPA at various companies in Milwaukee and Sheboygan until he started his own consulting business. James was active at his parish and several other community organizations. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, golfing, fishing, and gardening.
James is survived by his wife, Barbara; five children Judy (Gary) Crull, Lori (Jim) Clark, Diane (Robert) Rusk, Kathy (Steven) Basler, and Christopher (Ann) Langemak; sixteen grandchildren Katie, Jenny (Jake) Francis, and Amy Crull; Emily (Brian) Valovcin and Patrick Clark; Samantha (Dustin) Verdin, Zachary (Marli) Rusk, and Taylor Rusk; Sarah, Abigail, Cole, Faith, and Jacoby Basler; Ryan, Brady, and Emma Langemak; great-grandchildren Beau and Luke Verdin; Nathan and Samuel Valovcin; and Cooper Rusk, and siblings Shirley Steffes, and Jack and Jerry Langemak.
Along with his parents, James was preceded in death by his sister, Gail Young and a granddaughter, Hannah Basler.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2022, at St. Clement Catholic Church, 707 N. 6th St., Sheboygan, with visitation taking place at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park with VFW Post 9156 providing military honors.
