
John A. Zeeveld, age 76, of Cascade, WI, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2022 at the Sharon S.
Richardson Community Hospice Center.
He was born on December 6, 1945 in Sheboygan County, WI, a son of the late Melvin and Clara (Tenpas)
Zeeveld.
John graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1963. On March 19, 1971, he married Bonita
“Bonnie” Maunu at Hingham Reformed Church. The couple resided in the Plymouth/Cascade area since
their marriage. Bonnie preceded him in death on November 20, 2014.
John worked for various Sheboygan County farmers and most recently worked at Sargento Foods until
retiring in 2007.
John enjoyed going on cruises with his wife Bonnie and actively participated in the Sheboygan County
Fair. He especially loved watching his grandkids sporting events.
Survivors include his children, Pat (Becky) Zeeveld of Pleasant Prairie, Mike (Angela) Zeeveld of Cascade,
and Joanne (Ben) Moehr of Brillion; six grandchildren, Tony (Amy) Zeeveld, Nick Zeeveld, Zack and
Austin Zeeveld, and Ian and Connor Moehr; one great-granddaughter, Addison Zeeveld; one sister,
Marjorie (Ron) Cook of Wisconsin; and his brothers and sister-in-law, Neil Pietenpol of Wisconsin, Earl
Frank of Michigan, Linda Dunkley of Minnesota, Ernest Jr. (Helen) Maunu of Illinois, Doris Jensen of
Wisconsin, Stacey (Ken) Long of Illinois.
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brother, Paul Zeeveld; sister, Carol Pietenpol; and
brothers and sisters-in-law, Arlene Basina, Duane Dunkley, Virginia Frank, and Carolyn Maunu.
Visitation will be held on Monday (July 25, 2022) at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from 3:00 PM
– 5:00 PM; with a memorial service to follow at 5:00 PM. Pastor Dale Miller will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in John’s name.
