SAN FRANCISCO, CA (WHBL) – Jonathan Davis drove in what turned out to be the winning run on an infield single in the 10th inning as the Milwaukee Brewers edged the Giants 3-2 in San Francisco on Thursday night.
Corbin Burnes gave up two runs, one earned, over seven and two thirds innings while striking out 10. It was his 19th game with double digit strikeouts, tied for tops in franchise history with Yovanni Gallardo. Trevor Gott earned the win for Milwaukee and Devin Williams picked up his sixth save.
The other Brewer RBIs went to Andrew McCutchen and Willy Adames.
Joc Pederson drove in a run in the loss for the Giants. Camilo Doval took the loss for San Francisco, which is 45-43.
The Brewers, now 50 -40, will play in San Francisco again Friday night with pregame coverage on WHBL beginning at 8:40.
