
Margene J. Fink, age 81, of Howards Grove, passed away on Monday, April 4th at St. Vincent Hospital in
Green Bay with her loving daughter by her side.
She was born on June 4, 1940, daughter of the late Milton and Dorothy (Specht) Grunewald. Margene
graduated from Howards Grove High School in 1958.
Margene was united in marriage to Le Roy Fink on March 25, 1962. The couple lived in Howards Grove
after their marriage until they moved to Franklin in 1975. During their younger years, her and Le Roy
enjoyed going on many trips with the Howards Grove Athletic Club as well as a couple of family trips to
Las Vegas.
She was a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Howards Grove.
She was employed at various companies in her life, Elenco, Gilson/Lawn-Boy, Thonet Industries and
Bemis. The job that brought her the most joy in all her years of working was babysitting for Max and
Abby Cohen.
She enjoyed playing Scrabble and Solitaire, doing crossword puzzles and Sudoku and watching Jeopardy
and Wheel of Fortune as well as the game show channel. Feeding the orioles and cardinals during the
spring and summer time even it meant getting stung by a bee or two. Once, on a snowy day there were
15-20 cardinals in a bush outside the dining room window that looked like a picture from out of a bird
magazine.
Margene is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Michael) Trimberger, Elkhart Lake and daughter-inlaw, Lori
Fink, Howards Grove. One step grandson, Josh (Jill) Imig and two step greatgrandchildren, Ava and
Jackson Imig. Six sisters, JoAnn (Robert) Lutzke, Kay (Leo) Waldschmidt, Delores (Keith) Liebenstein, Jane
Rentmeester, Bonnie Fintelmann and Cindy Schmidt. Four brothers, Dennis Grunewald, Lee (Joan)
Grunewald, Randy Grunewald (friend Sue) and Tim Grunewald (friend Kelly). Four sisters-in-law,
Gertrude Nimmer, Elvira Ehlenbeck, Caroline Johnson and LuAnn Reinemann. Fur grand kiddos, Mickey,
Riley and Sasha. Her special lunch lady friends, Mardell Stange, Carol Reinemann and Annie Heim.
She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by
her husband and parents, son, Rusty (December 2021) and infant son, Dean and mother and father-in-
law. Sister, LaVerne Berg and brothers: Donald, Jerry, Gary, Eugene and Dale. And many other family
and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in
Plymouth with Rev. Robert Steele officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in the Town of Sheboygan.
