Presentations will be made to the Sheboygan Area School District Board on Tuesday concerning proposed developments of 26 acres of vacant land it owns north of St. Nicholas Hospital on Sheboygan’s northwest side.
The parcel between Geele and Saemann Avenues is on North Taylor Drive opposite the Field of Dreams. Two proposals were selected by the Board out of three submitted.
One, from North Taylor Development LLC, would put professional services buildings along North Taylor Drive, with much of the remainder housing two-story Senior, Independent, and Assisted Living apartments, as well as nine single-family residential lots.
The other proposal is from Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin which hopes to build a three-story hospital and medical center as well as two future Senior Living developments on the site.
Following Tuesday’s presentations, the Board will discuss the next steps to the potential development of a purchase agreement, and then present their proposals in a public meeting to be held at a later date.
The process is expected to take several months. Meanwhile you can view the proposals and follow developments on the Sheboygan Area School District’s web page (click here).
