Defense attorneys for a man charged in a fatal Sheboygan Falls shooting want his statements to police thrown out. According to Fox 6 news, Luis Cruz Burgos is accused of killing Canadian tourist Giovanni Robinson last September.
His attorneys say police questioned him for more than an hour before reading his Miranda rights, then continued after he said he wanted to remain silent.
A hearing on the issue is scheduled for December 3rd, with trial not expected until 2027.
