The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development says that unemployment rates have again decreased in all of Wisconsin’s 12 metro areas compared with both the past year and month.
That news came with the release of November statistics that also show that rates declined in all of Wisconsin’s 34 largest cities compared with both the previous month and last year, and twenty-five of the largest cities, or 74%, posted new record monthly lows. Counties fared even better, with 85% experiencing record lows.
The Sheboygan Metropolitan Area saw a workforce of 62,500 in November, a drop of 100 over October, but up 2,000 compared to November of 2020. That amounts to a preliminary unemployment rate of 1.5%. The City of Sheboygan saw a rate of 1.7% in November, while Sheboygan County’s rate was 1.5%. Figures are non-seasonally-adjusted.
