SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) – The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department asking drivers to take it slow on the roads this morning. Sergeant Ryan Kelley says there are dozens of trees and power lines down throughout the county and city. They’re asking you to take your time so a hazard does not sneak up on you.
At just before 3am, Sheboygan County saw a gust of 57 miles per hour – Fond du Lac reporting gusts as high as 51 miles per hour. The highest gust reported by the National Weather Service is in Lone Rock, which saw a 66 mile per hour wind gust.
Both We-Energies and Alliant have crews out working to restore power to thousands of homes and businesses that lost power overnight.
