Phyllis Adele (Johnson Burlingame) Heinen, 90, of Hingham, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 8, 2021.
Phyllis was born to Lawrence and Bernice (Ellis) Wipperfurth on March 24, 1931, in Madison. She was united in marriage to Richard Johnson in 1951 and together they had four children. After his passing, Phyllis married George Burlingame in 1990, who then preceded her in death. She subsequently married Warren Heinen in 2007, who passed away in January of this year.
Phyllis was a member of Faith Reformed Church in Cedar Grove. Her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior was very important to her. She enjoyed gardening, camping, traveling, bird watching, and was a great cook. Phyllis loved pets and spending time with her family. She made it a priority to attend the many, many music concerts, recitals, school performances and other activities that her grandchildren were involved in.
Phyllis is survived by her children, James (Valerie) Johnson, Jeffrey (Robin) Johnson, Janet (Mark) Holdmann, Judy (Tom) Mondloch; grandchildren, Kim (John) Alcorn, Kelly (Bo) Wontor, Eric Johnson, Kristie (Christopher) Weske, Jayson Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Jill (Jerry) Pirk, Angela (Joe) Boehlke, Ben (Sue) Holdmann, Luke Holdmann, Tim (Grace) Holdmann, Amanda, Adam (Dannielle), Abby, Austin, Aaron (Ali), Alec, and Alivia Mondloch; and 16 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother, Keith (Nancy) Wipperfurth; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands and sister, Beverly Thiedemann.
A funeral service to celebrate Phyllis’ life will be held at Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 3:00pm. Burial will be held at Hingham Cemetery.
Family and friends may greet the family from 1:00 pm until the time of service.
Memorials can be made in Phyllis’ name.
