Kay R. Winter, age 90, of Plymouth, WI, passed away on Sunday (September 26, 2021) at
Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls with her family by her side.
She was born on August 26, 1931 in Milwaukee, WI, daughter of the late Arthur and Ruth
(Buenger) Weseloh.
She graduated from Milwaukee Lutheran High School. On December 2, 1950 she married
Allan Winter at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on March
2, 1993.
Kay was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Sherman Center and was active in
the church as a member of the ladies guild, mission circle, choir, Sunday school
teacher, and the funeral committee. Kay worked at the Village Grocery in Fredonia,
Bethesda Thrift Store in Sheboygan and Neat Repeats in Plymouth.
Kay enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, reading, traveling, watching
NASCAR and the Green Bay Packers, and collecting owls.
She is survived by four daughters: Judith Doherty of Cascade, Carol Wedepohl of
Sheboygan Falls, Sheri (Mark) Bohnhoff of Plymouth, Renee McKellips of Columbia,
SC; two sons: Norman (Dona) Winter of Random Lake, Daryl (Jeff Hayes) Winter of
Campbellsport; ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Allan; three sons-in-law:
Richard McKellips, Richard Doherty, and Wayne Wedepohl; and grandson: Shawn
Winter.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday (September 30 th ) at 3:00 PM at the
Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Pastor Christopher Gillespie of St. John Lutheran
Church in Sherman Center will officiate. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will
be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Sherman Center.
Friends may call at Suchon Funeral Home on Thursday (Sept. 30 th ) from 1:00 PM until
the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in her name.
