(WHBL) – The Ryder Cup gets underway on Friday with the duo of Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth teeing it off at Whistling Straits.
The pair will take on the European team of Jon Rahm and Sergio Garcia. Bryson DeChambeau, Harris English, Scottie Scheffler, and Tony Finau will all sit out the first session for the Americans.
The format of the first session is foursomes, also known as alternate shot.
Europe has won four of the past five Ryder Cups and needs 14 points to retain the title. The Americans need 14-and-a-half points to win the Ryder Cup.
