COVID-19 has claimed another victim in Sheboygan County. According to data posted on Tuesday by the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health, the death pushes the toll in the county to 151. Age-related Information on the two casualties so far this week is likely to be included in the weekly report from the DPH due to be released later on Thursday. The number of active cases in the county, which had fallen to 30 a week ago, bumped up slightly on Wednesday to 32. A total of 13,891 cases have now been confirmed in Sheboygan County, adding four to the total since Monday, and one person remains hospitalized.
While Wisconsin has now reached over 50% of the total population with at least one dose of vaccine, Sheboygan County has not, with 55,932 – or 48.5% of the population – having received at least one dose, and 45.7%…that’s 52,702 persons…now fully vaccinated. According to data from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, 267 doses have been administered in Sheboygan County so far this week.
