(WHBL) – The Wisconsin Supreme Court may not be able to escape the question of whether ballot drop boxes and ballot harvesting are allowed in the state.
The Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty on Monday filed a lawsuit that says Wisconsin election law doesn’t allow either. The lawsuit comes after the state Supreme Court side-stepped the heart of the question in a ruling last week. The state’s liberal justices struck down a businessman’s lawsuit based on a technical argument.
WILL’s lawsuit says election law is clear that only voters can return ballots, and only through the mail or by handing them to an elections worker.
