BELGIUM, WI (WHBL) – Firefighters from Cedar Grove, Oostburg and Random Lake assisted the Belgium Fire Department with a pair of barn fires in Belgium late Tuesday night.
The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call shortly before 11:30 of a barn fire on 6 Mile Road. Responding deputies found that there were actually two barns burning.
Crews were on-scene for hours battling the flames but the buildings were a total loss.
Officials say most of the animals, if not all, were saved.
There’s no word on a cause at this time.
Several fire departments assisted in battling the blaze, including Fredonia, Waubeka, Port Washington, Grafton and Saukville.
