DENVER, CO (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers struggled in all phases of the game Thursday night and dropped the opener of a seven game road trip 7-3 to the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. It was the fourth straight loss for the Crew and dropped them out of a first place tie with the Cubs.
The Rockies scored five first inning runs off Brewers ace Brandon Woodruff as they continue to play well at home. CJ Cron hit a grand slam and Garrett Hampson hit a solo shot in the inning.
Luis Urias drove in three runs for Milwaukee. The Brewers committed four errors in the game.
The Brewers drop to 38-31 and will send Corbin Burnes to the mound Friday night. Pregame coverage on WHBL gets underway at 7:05.
