The signs will be coming down and traffic flowing this evening as the Wisconsin Department of Transportation announced on Tuesday that work on the Wisconsin Highway 28 and County “EE” intersection has been has been completed.
The $1.7 million project adjacent to Sheboygan Falls and Kohler began with storm sewer work and widening the roadway embankment in July last year, and detours around the project have been in place since this past April 1st. With the project completed a week ahead of schedule, drivers will now find a new, single lane roundabout that’s expected to improve safety and operations at the intersection. All that remains is some minor project clean-up and landscaping that will not impact traffic.
