SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – If you’re looking for a Saturday bus ride on Sheboygan’s Shoreline Metro System, you’ll need to make advance plans as the bus line temporarily scales back service due to COVID-19. Sheboygan Director of Transit & Parking Derek Muench made that announcement on Wednesday, saying, “The pandemic has impacted all aspects of our lives and every sector of the local economy,” and that by offering so-called “demand response service” on Saturdays, the safety of both employees and customers can be protected.
Saturday service will be provided through Metro Connection and is available to all customers, and destinations must be located on a regular fixed route. Trips must be scheduled by Friday at 3 PM by calling 459-3420, regular fares apply, and trips must be taken between 7:45 AM and 5:45 PM.
