Following his reelection to the State Assembly, 26th District Representative Joe Sheehan has reacted to the outcome. In a statement following Tuesday’s election, Sheehan said that “I want to sincerely thank the voters of this community for continuing to put their trust in me, all the volunteers who supported this campaign, and my friends and family for their encouragement over the last few months. We know that better is possible, and I am honored to be in this work to make Wisconsin a place where everyone can thrive.”
Sheehan survived a challenge by Republican and former Sheboygan Common Council member John Belanger by a comfortable margin among Sheboygan County voters.
Sheehan concluded: “We know better is possible when we come together – I am proud to continue to serve as your Assembly Representative. Let’s get to work!”
