The Village of Cottage Grove, a Madison area community, has followed in Sheboygan’s footsteps, dropping Flock Safety cameras. The village is the latest Dane County law enforcement agency to discontinue its use of Flock. During a meeting this week, trustees voted to immediately stop using the cameras, and physically cover or otherwise disable them.
The Sheboygan common council unanimously voted earlier this month to cancel flock safety’s contract with the City after details emerged of a Flock company sales reps trying to sell the data, which was supposed to be deleted, to other Sheboygan agencies.
