Folks from around these parts know what “a couple two tree” means. Call it Wisconsinese if you like, but when you’re thirsty for a cold beer with lots of flavor, two or three might be just a bit over the top. In that spirit, Sheboygan’s 3Sheeps Brewery is introducing its “Two Tree” Mid-Strength Hazy IPA.
According to the official Beer Judge Certification Program, a standard IPA generally boasts 5.5 – 7.5% Alcohol by Volume and can go up to 10%. The 3Sheeps Two Tree offers all the hoppiness while dialing back the ABV to just 3%, making it easier to enjoy a couple “Two, Tree” without having to stop your enjoyment early.
Founder and Brewmaster Grant Pauly said the goal was to limit the alcohol by volume without changing the taste of a “complete beer”. That required a bit of science and experimentation, and the results are ready for their debut on November 7th at the 3Sheeps taproom as well as at bars, restaurants, grocery and liquor stores throughout Wisconsin, northern Illinois and the Chicago area.
3Sheeps even has a Beer Finder at https://find.
