When Sheboygan’s City Plan Commission meets this afternoon, it may give its approval of the Comprehensive Plan that’s been under development for well over a year. The Comprehensive Plan aims to guide the city toward its 20-year vision as “a diverse and prosperous coastal community.” The plan will assist local officials with decision-making on future growth, development, and preservation through 2046.
The plan was prepared in coordination with City staff, elected officials, community stakeholders, and residents, and was the subject of numerous community input sessions. Among the topic areas addressed are population and housing; natural, agricultural and cultural resources; utilities and community facilities, economic development, transportation, land use, intergovernmental cooperation, and implementation.
The meeting takes place at 4 this afternoon at City Hall. You can review the plan in advance through this link.
