Judith L. Johnston- Jarvis, 68, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. She was born on October 17, 1957, in Sheboygan to the late Joseph F. and Caroline (Del Ponte) Johnston. Judith graduated from Sheboygan North High School with the Class of 1976. Following graduation Judith moved to Clearwater, FL where she managed the Bakery at the Winn Dixie Grocery Store before transferring to Publix Grocery Store.
In 1995, Judith moved back to Sheboygan where she was the Johnston’s Bakery Store manager before opening JJ’s Hideaway Café in Sheboygan for several years. Most recently, she enjoyed working at the Oostburg Mini-Mart part-time in the mornings, where her loyal customers enjoyed coming in to visit with her. Judith had a strong faith and was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and member of the Catholic Women’s Charity Club.
Judith is survived by her daughter Jacqualynn C. Jarvis of Sheboygan, grandchildren; Shyanah, Elijah, Amelia, Aviar, Lynnhya and Nalahni all of Sheboygan, siblings; Mary Ann Perl of Sheboygan, Michael (Joy) Johnston of Sheboygan Falls, Barbara (Patrick) Gahan of Sheboygan, Joseph P. Johnston of Sheboygan, Joanne (Chris) Youngbauer of Madison and John (Jackie) Johnston of Sheboygan. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Judith was preceded in death by her parents and sister Rita Johnston.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Ave., Sheboygan, with Rev. Lorri Steward officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the FUNERAL HOME.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Judith’s name.
