Those traveling between Sheboygan and Kohler shouldn’t be dealing with the temporary traffic light over I-43 much longer, as the Wisconsin DOT says they will complete work on that overpass this week. Replacing expansion joints there was part of the overall I-43 reconstruction that’s been underway since March.
This week the project contractor will continue shouldering, guardrail, and pavement marking operations between Highways 28 and 42, and will also be working on sign structures along westbound 23 from Highway Y to Taylor Drive.
Drivers will also encounter maintenance crews conducting crack filling and pavement repair operations on eastbound Highway 23 from County Road A to Highway P between Plymouth and Greenbush, as well as between Highway 67 and County Road O west of Plymouth this week. Expect various lane closures there.
