With the arrival of autumn, cleanup of Sheboygan’s City-owned Wildwood Cemetery will take place in the coming weeks.
In order to facilitate the cleanup, residents are being respectfully asked to remove summer decorations and artificial flowers by October 15th. Items not removed will be disposed of by cemetery staff. The DPW says that there are over 25,000 graves to maintain, families who observe the schedule are greatly appreciated.
Once maintenance is done, now scheduled for November 15th, fall and winter decorations can again be placed on grave sites.
Rules for decorations are as follows:
• Beginning November 15, new winter decorations or flowers may be placed on the
grave sites.

markers.
• Flowers can only be planted in front of stones with the exception of Section 19
which only allows artificial flowers.
• No perennials or plants which have thorns, thistles, or burs are allowed.
• The maximum size of a flowerbed is one foot away from the marker and to the

be placed on grave sites.
