Work continues on the I-43 reconstruction project in Sheboygan County this week, and drivers can expect some lane closures, both overnight and daily. Many closures will be moving and drivers should pay close attention to signage. Also, the Highway PP overpass work continues with temporary traffic signals controlling the flow between Sheboygan and Kohler.
Besides the major construction, DOT maintenance crews will also be repairing pavement on both north and southbound I-43 between Wilson Lima Road and Highway 28 now through Thursday, and a continuous lane closure will control the flow. Drivers should also be alert for lane closures on Highway 23 this week. Sign base installation on eastbound 23 between Highway Y and I-43 will take place now through Friday, and crews will be filling cracks on both directions of 23 between County Road P and Plank Road today through Thursday between 6 AM and 4 PM.
