Daniel J. Kaemmer, age 64, of Sheboygan, died on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Aurora Sheboygan Medical Center from complications of pneumonia. He was born in Sheboygan on July 3, 1962, to William and Kathleen Kuehlmann Kaemmer.
Daniel attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1981. He was the current co-owner/operator of Kaemmer Foods Distribution, which has been family owned since 1925. On February 4, 1999, he was united in marriage to Tracey Karstedt in Runaway Bay Jamica.
Daniel and Tracey went to Jamacia 22 times for their wedding anniversary. They also spent time in Roatan and Puerto Vallarta. He also enjoyed spending time on his travels with best friends, Carlton Rutherford and Chuck McKinley. Dan enjoyed fishing and scuba diving. Dan and Tracey loved going on boat rides wherever they wanted.
Survivors include his wife, Tracy Kaemmer; mother, Kathleen Kaemmer; son, Nicholas (Marye) Kaemmer; grandchildren, Magnolia and Poppy Kaemmer, all of Sheboygan; his two sisters, Debbie (Scott) Thiel and Carol (Paul) Haese; a brother, Bill (Tammie) Kaemmer, all of Sheboygan; nieces and nephews, Becky and Matt Flynn, JP Haese (Sunshine), Kim and Aaron Nonttof, Nathan and Megan Brion, Scotty and Alyssa Thiel, Jason Peterson, Tina and Mike Schreiber, Troy and Angel Hiles, Noah and Drake Peterson; a sister-in-law, Carol (Art) Peterson, of Kiel; his brother-in-law, Chuck (fiancée Debbie) Karstedt, of Sheboygan; an his mother-in-law, Janice Karstedt, of Sheboygan. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends survive. Daniel was preceded in death by his father, William Kaemmer, paternal and maternal grandparents, an infant brother, Richard, and his father-in-law, Harold Karstedt. Many aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends also preceded him in death.
In accordance with the hiss wishes, a cremation will take place, and a celebration of life will held at a later date. Dan had recently opted to become an organ donor. Through the gift of his eyes, he has the opportunity to help to 10 people have better vision.
