Those who chose to stay up late were rewarded with perfectly clear skies and a moon that nearly disappeared last night.
The moon slid into Earth’s shadow until, at 11:12 PM, 96% of the moon was bathed in a dim, ruddy light. The eclipse was visible from anywhere that had darkness and a clear enough sky.
If you live in Wisconsin and missed seeing last night’s so-called “blood moon”, you’ll have to wait until June 26, 2029 for your next chance.
