Maria Refugio Jimenez passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026, at the age of 94. She was born on July 4, 1932, in Atotonilco El Bajo, Jalisco, Mexico.
She immigrated to the US at the age of 62 and lived the later part of her life in the loving care of her youngest daughter, Aurora. She was a long-time member of St. Clement Catholic Church in Sheboygan, WI.
She enjoyed gardening, going out for walks, cooking, sewing/knitting, and spending time with her family.
She was the loving mother of nine children: Abelardo (Chela) Andrade, Ricardo (Claudia) Andrade, Alejandro (Mirella) Andrade, Ana (Narciso) Andrade, Adrian (Chana) Andrade, Adelaida (Martin) Andrade, Antonio Andrade, Aurora (Antonio) Bonilla, and Dionisio (Patricia) Andrade. She was a caring grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother to many.
She will always be remembered for her kindness, unconditional love and resilience.
She was preceded in death by her parents Epifania and Julian, her husband Antonio Andrade, her two brothers, one half-sister, and one half-brother.
The family of Maria Jimenez would like to extend a thank you to the wonderful team of nurses, CNAs, and staff from HSHS Home Care [Tiffany, Georgia and Joy], Universal Home Health Care [Joshua and Mo] and Sharon S. Richardson Hospice [Mary, Abbie, Dawn and Nick]. In addition, the family would also like to extend thanks to her long-time doctor, Dr. Sarah Bustos. Thank you to the many friends and family that have kept her and our family in their thoughts and prayers.
Services will be held at St. Clement Catholic Church on Saturday, August 29th with visitation from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m.
