The potential for severe weather over Sheboygan County today is quite low, but not entirely absent, and so the National Weather Service will keep a close eye on any development.
So far, activity has been scattered, mostly along the Illinois border, but forecasters expect a line of storms to roll through here between 11 AM and noon, exiting by 1 PM with the chance that some needed rain will linger longer into the afternoon. Should severe activity develop, the main threats would be frequent lightning, heavy rain and some gusty winds.
We could use the rain if not the strong stuff, and with only a tenth of an inch expected, hope for more relief from dry conditions – however slight – shifts to another round on Wednesday, again with only light amounts in the forecast.
