Joanne D. Meives, age 84, formerly of Howards Grove, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at The Waterford of Plymouth.
She was born on February 22, 1942, in Marinette, WI to the late Gilbert and Florence (Keller) Abler. She graduated from Central High School. Joanne was united in marriage to Dennis Reimer and later in life to Charles Meives, who have both preceded her in death. Joanne enjoyed her time spent at the ADRC of Sheboygan County, making many friends.
Joanne had a special talent of being a seamstress and enjoyed playing cards with her friends and her club girls. She loved spending time with her family and was known to show that love through her hugs. She will be deeply missed.
Joanne is survived by her children, Julie Kachur, James Reimer, and Janet Holtz; grandchildren, Heather (Derek) Trowbridge, Holly Parker, Randy (Haley) Kachur, Ashley (Michael) Rumbut, Lisa (Bill) Cherek, Alyssa Holtz and Brayden Reimer; great-grandchildren, Emma, Alex, Jacob, Ephrem, Jeremiah, Zach, Zoe, Oliver, Milo, Anastasia, Michael, Charlotte Mae, Levi, Carter, Isabel, Elliot; Great-great-grandchildren, Felix and Claudia and a sister, Donna (William) Denboer; nieces, nephews, other family and friends further survive.
Along with her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her sister Nancy Magerl.
A Funeral Service for Joanne will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Zimmer Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Road in Howards Grove with Chaplain Pat Henning officiating. The family will greet visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Joanne will be entombed at the Garden of Peace Mausoleum in Kohler.
