After a warm, dry weekend, weather could turn ugly tonight as several rounds of thunderstorms carry with them the potential of damaging winds, hail, and possible isolated tornadoes. The threat of the latter will mostly be in north-central Wisconsin along with the hail, but gusty winds will be possible in the Sheboygan area, mostly late tonight into early Monday morning, and many areas could experience heavy rain.

The National Weather Service called the setup “a complicated scenario” with multiple possible outcomes. Most likely was a line of strong to severe thunderstorms this evening into the early overnight hours, with additional showers and storms late tonight into Monday morning producing heavy rainfall. The risk of severe outcomes was an enhanced 3 of 5 tonight, and additional storms Monday afternoon and evening carry a 2 of 5 risk as well, but for now attention is on the overnight hours because what happens then will influence what happens tomorrow.
