Holland Festival, a nearly 80-year tradition in the Village of Cedar Grove, is ready to again take over the community with its family-friendly celebration of Dutch heritage.
The celebration will be headquartered, as usual, in Memorial Park where a host of activities including music, klompen dancing and street scrubbing will be presented Friday and Saturday. There has been one change in that the parade on Saturday will have a new route for the very first time as a major project underway on Main Street will redirect that route. The starting point is at 2nd and Union Avenue as always, but then the parade goes south on 2nd Street to Center Street, west to 6th Street, north on 6th to West Willow Avenue and then east to the finish line.
Just one more note – Holland Festival is one of the few alcohol-free celebrations in Wisconsin.
